This is an unusual, showy plant, great as an accent. It forms a group of vertical, arched out main trunks which can get to 20 feet tall. The yellow flowers in summer are 3 - 5” wide. Tends to be an evergreen, with fuzzy lobed leaves sparsely arranged along branches. Fuzz on leaves is skin irritant, plant away from human traffic. West Coast native plant.

Growing conditions: Well drained soil, full sun, a slope is best. No supplemental water once established, be cautious even the first year. Summer water will initially speed growth, but shorten lifespan of plant
