Ecotone Plants is a nursery focused on providing vigorous, adaptable plants for landscape professionals and residents in the San Juan Islands region. Emphasis is on plants suitable for screens and hedges; ecological restoration and diversification, and creating lasting beauty on lands we steward. Overall our selection provides a diverse palette of leaf textures, bloom times, fruits, and fall color. Our plant selections are “drought tolerant”, meaning they are adapted to thrive in our summer dry climate, and will eventually thrive with minimal attention.This emphasis on climate adaptation also leads to many of our selections being West Coast native plants.

We are beginning mail order as an option. Plants will be added to the mail order section in the days and weeks to come. If you are in a very different climate zone, please do some research before purchasing plants.
