This deciduous shrub is native to much of the upper North American continent. It has an open vase shape, and grows from 6’ to 20’ tall. It has showy white flowers in the spring, edible purple berries, and some nice color in the fall.. Grows in moist to dry well drained sites, and tolerates shoreline planting. Important wildlife shrub.
