This broad-leaf evergreen is a solid performer. Quite cold and drought tolerant. Great for screening and hedges, especially as it tends to keep its lower foliage healthy. Tolerant of various soil types. Deer resistant once established. Grows well in sun in a rounded form, also works in bright understory situations, where it gets partial sun and has to reach for light a bit.
