An evergreen oak from coastal California with leathery, oval, variable leaves having small spines. Beautiful year round glossy foliage. Prefers full sun, good drainage, and no summer water or fertilizer once established. Slow to medium growth rate, large shrub to 20-40’ tree, depending on soil.
